WITH ONLY 2000 € IN HIS POCKET, HE BECOMES THE LEADER OF THE ONLINE OPTICAL MARKET. FROM THAT, 2 MILLIONS OF EUROS WERE GENERATED WITHIN A YEAR.

polette.com is born from a man’s vision, a man who decided to put an end to the monopole of optics.
No more expensive eyeglasses. His idea? Break up the chain of intermediates and offer, through the internet, a massive selection of frames and lenses provided by his own factories.

The revolution is launched and upsets the field of French optic as we know it.

Meet Pierre Wizman, a young and one of a kind entrepreneur who decides to quit school and build his first company in France -bought up for a peppercorn rent- at the age of 16.
“Starting from scratch might have been the biggest chance life has offered me.”
Quite determined to create and innovate, he invites all of his employees to improve their difference and follow a path no one has ever followed before.

With the help of Pauline Cousseau, his associate, he launches the first website in August 2011. They learn to do everything by themselves.
In October of 2011, they make their first sale! As of today, they still remember the name of this very first customer.

Within a couple of months, the sales overshoot and the medias seize this social trend that is the inexpensive glasses. Many television coverages on polette.com are aired on French channels. (e.g: En quête d’actualité on Direct 8, television news on Canal + …)

Do it different

The office grows up under this motto.
The advertisment campains are reflected by the founder: provocation, humor and humanity are evidently on the cards.

The team:

polette is also about a young dynamic staff, defined by different atypical profiles. (Movie school, Tech school, Arts school, …) They all carry one mutual interest: the strong will to share this universe and make you live a very nourishing and one of a kind experience from every point of views. (customer service, products, design, networking, and even the packaging)
