Overzicht

We’re looking for a multi-talent to join the team in Amsterdam to support the operational growth of polette. You’ve got the mindset to make anything you manage run perfectly smooth and make it grow. Our showroom network requires a lot of planning and management. All technical systems can break down, need improvement or replacement. Your understanding of technology and a business mindset help you to anticipate all issues, oversee the maintenance and budgeting. polette is an omni-channel eyewear brand blurring traditional boundaries between online and offline. This means that the showrooms are constantly in development. You will support the Operations Manager to find solutions and organise the implementation. You’ll join our team during the first half of September for a 5-6 months full time internship. The first two months will be focused on training and getting you up to speed. As you gain speed you’ll work more independently. At polette we love bringing people beautiful, affordable eyewear from €15 and to revolutionise the way people shop their glasses around the world. We do this by designing, producing and providing our glasses in-house, because glasses should be affordable and fun for everyone.

Missies

* Supporting the Operations Manager (OM) in providing technical support for the showrooms: finding engineers and handymen for example if something breaks or needs replacement. * Providing logistics support to the showrooms with regards to the rollout of collection campaigns et cetera. * You’ll be a contact person for the showroom managers regarding maintenance planning and contracts, searching local partners and preparing budgets for the OM. * You’ll provide the OM with administrative support to find new suppliers and partners and prepare budget sheets for the OM. * Sourcing suppliers, comparing prices and negotiating conditions is an important part of your work that you’ll do under the guidance of the OM. This way you make sure our teams work in safe, functional and beautiful environments. * You keep a good record of all your work, so your learnings can be used for other projects or as comparison material. * As operations assistant you’ll support the other departments in finding solutions for their operational challenges. * As Operations assistant you identify business opportunities and communicate with business leads to contribute to the growth of polette. * You develop knowledge of the optical market and trends to improve the effectiveness of the service delivery of polette.

Kwaliteiten

This describes you: * Your English is excellent and your French is fluent or better. * Speaking Dutch is a plus * Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field. * 1-3 years of relevant work experience. * You feel comfortable using spreadsheets for all kinds of tasks. * You’re a creative person, always looking for solutions. * Strong researching skills and understanding how knowledge and data can contribute to the organisation. * You’re an excellent communicator and building rapport is easy for you. * Excellent attention to detail and the ability to bring high quality reporting and presentations. * Good time management skills: you always find time to do that important thing first while keeping an eye on the long term goals. * You’re able to work on a plurality of parallel projects. * You’re a teamplayer who gets gratification from supporting others. * If you’re able to create professional technical drawings this is a plus.
