Sketch by sketch, Ryder Bird created a world where mom and child can match, express themselves, and have a little fun with what they wear on their face every day.

Every collection starts with an idea. This one started with a little girl's imagination.

Ryder Bird has always seen the world a little differently — full of color, character and detail. Drawing, styling and dreaming up outfits since she could hold a pencil, she sketched the very first designs for what would become her first eyewear collection: two matching pairs, one for her and one for her mom, made to be worn together.

For Ryder, this collection means more than fashion.

It carries the story of a year that asked for courage — and answered with creativity. Through it all, getting dressed up, choosing the perfect pair of glasses, imagining new designs, stayed one of the few things that let her feel completely herself.

Bird + Nerd is what happens when that imagination is given room to grow: proof that even the smallest ideas can become something real.
